Calendar 2026-2027 

The KCSA Academic Year runs from Monday, August 17th, 2026 through Monday, May 17th, 2027. 

August & September:

• Parent Orientation Meeting – Saturday, August 15th at 5:00pm – Fellowship Hall

• KCSA Academic Term Begins – Monday, August 17th – Lessons and Group Classes Begin

• Labor Day – Monday, September 7th  –  No lessons or classes.

October:

• Spooky Suzuki String Fest Performance & Trunk or Treat – Friday, October 30th at 5:00pm – Sanctuary Performance followed by Trunk-or-Treat in the Upper Parking Lot.

November:

• Election Day – Tuesday, November 3rd – No group classes or Coda. Private lessons will take place as scheduled.

• Fall Solo Recitals Weekend – All Instruments (choose one recital): Sanctuary

Friday, November 6th at 6:00pm

Saturday, November 7th at 3:30pm and 6:00pm

Saturday, November 14th at 3:30pm and 6:00pm

Sunday, November 15th at 2:00pm

• Thanksgiving Super Break – Tuesday, November 24th thru Sunday, December 6th – No lessons or classes due to Thanksgiving Week and Journey to Bethlehem at Southminster the week following Thanksgiving week (we now have an additional week of lessons in December).

December:

• Winter Break – Sunday, December 20th – Sunday, January 3rd – No lessons or classes.

January:

• Lessons and Classes Resume – Monday, January 4th

• Martin Luther King Day – Monday, January 18th – No lessons or classes.

• KCSA Faculty and Coda Chamber Performance – Tuesday, January 26th at 7:00pm

February & March:

• Spring Break – Sunday, March 14th thru Sunday, March 21st – No lessons or classes.

April:

• Piano & SECE Finale Performance – Saturday, April 24th at 9:00am – Sanctuary

• Strings Finale and Coda Concert – Saturday, April 24th at 10:15am - Sanctuary

May:

• Monday, May 17th – Last day of private lessons, there are private lessons on this date.

• Tuesday, May 18th – First Day of Summer Lessons
