The Suzuki Method was developed by Japanese violinist and pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki more than 50 years ago, and is arguably the most popular method of music education in the world today. Dr. Suzuki's philosophy approaches music lessons as a long range partnership between student, parent, teacher, and community. Students learn in a natural way through daily listening to recordings, and repetition of musical repertoire. Group classes and performances play a central role in motivating students and teachers. In the Suzuki method, focus on creating a positive, nurturing environment leads to the success and joy of learning a music instrument.

I just want to make good citizens. If a child hears good music from the day of his birth, and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.
— Dr. Shinichi Suzuki
